Greys of El Dorado in Long Beach is a ​501c3 non-profit (93-4862434) organization ​that inspires community and promotes ​adoptions for all types of sighthounds. We ​have built relationships with two of the most ​successful sighthound rescue agencies in ​Southern California. The Sighthounds we ​help include retired racing Greyhounds, ​Galgos from Spain, Italian Greyhounds and ​more. Our community also connects new ​adopters with people who have years of ​experience with these calm and ​affectionate dogs. We meet every ​Saturday morning in El Dorado Park in ​Long Beach to enjoy a leisurely 2-mile walk ​and share our experiences in adoption and ​rescue with each other. There are often 10-​15 people and up to 25 hounds. Everyone ​is welcome on our walks and we especially ​encourage people who are curious about ​sighthounds.

Our unique annual picnic is an off leash event private event (muzzles ​required) every first Sunday in November

Our main fundraising event of the year is our Annual Picnic on the first Sunday in November. ​We are seeking donations for our raffle, the proceeds of which support the process of helping ​these hounds find their permanent, loving homes.
